‘Ray (Season 1) 2021’: TV Review:
X-Ray: Selected Satyajit Shorts S01 Hindi Complete 720p HDRip Dual Audio [ हिंदी 5.1 – English]. When Netflix announced Ray as a part of the year-long celebrations of Satyajit Ray’s 100th birth anniversary, the thrill was palpable. And following suit of its predecessors like Game of Thrones Season 8 and Avengers: Endgame within the expectations department, Ray left this writer frustrated and looking for a redo.
Making film stalwarts’ works more accessible are some things that need to be encouraged, but adaptations got to validate the essence and milieu of the filmmaker. to only include verbal or thematic references of Ray while completely side-stepping the standard of labor, is (for the shortage of a far better word) criminal.
For the unversed, Netflix’s Ray may be a rather poor choice to begin exploring the auteur’s wonderful works. This one, viewers can safely skip, considering the anthology itself skips meaningful storytelling.
