White Snake (白蛇：缘起 / Báishé: Yuánqǐ) is a 2019 Chinese-American animation fantasy film, now in Hindi on ROSHIYA.me.
White Snake 2019 Movie – Storyline:
The story follows the Chinese fable the Legend of the White Snake. The focus is on a white snake demon Blanca who loses her memory while being disguised as a human woman and falls in love with a snake hunter. This strongly displeases her young sister, Verta, the green snake demon.
The story begins with two sisters in a traditional Chinese bath, where they both speak of immortality. It then shows that same mysterious woman (named Blanca) who is on a mission to assassinate the general. However, she is caught and is involved in a battle that results in her submerging in the water and losing her memories. She is rescued by a man, Xuan, who takes her to his home, Snake Catcher village, where the villagers catch snakes for the general, as snakes were thought to aid in immortality. Reluctant at first, Blanca is sceptical about Xuan. However, after spending some time with him (and with the reveal that she has magic powers) she starts to fall for him.
They find a jade hairpin which brings back some memories when it is then revealed that the hairpin too is magical. Xuan reads the inscription, which indicates it was made at a “special jade workshop”. He and Blanca go on a journey there together.
White Snake Full Movie Review:
I am glad that Light Chaser Animation came true to its roots. There is some mild sexual content in it, but overall, the movie’s breathtaking sceneries and plot override any of the movie’s sexual connotations. Growing up with Japanese animation, I expect a Japanese anime vibe in this movie. But it’s more than that! It can visually stun both video game players and Disney Pixar fans because of its action sequences, storytelling, music, and character development! This is the most beautiful, heartwarming, touching, and endearing film to hit China (and hopefully, North America)! But since there are not enough North American audiences who are aware of the White Snake folktale; it’s only playing in a few selected theatres. But when it’s out in English (whether dubbed or subtitled), I will part with some of my money to purchase this thrilling tale!
