The Outlaws 2017 Movie – Storyline:
Based on real events that occurred in 2004 dubbed the “Heuksapa Incident”, the story follows a turf war that grows between a local gang that runs Garibong-dong in Guro District, Seoul and the Heuksapa gang from Yanbian, China the police are called in to attempt to bring peace to the neighbourhood. Jang Chen (Yoon Kye-Sang) came from China and now works as a loan shark in a seedy Chinatown area of Seoul. He’s backed up by his bloodthirsty henchmen Wei Sung-Rak (Jin Seon-kyu) and Yang-Tae (Kim Sung-Kyu). Jang Chen is beyond brutal in his methods of collecting money. Meanwhile, Ma Suk-Do (Ma Dong-Seok) is a detective in the Chinatown area of Seoul. He tries to keep the peace, while two Chinese-Korean gangs battle over turf in the neighbourhood. Jang Chen makes his move to take over.

Review of The Outlaws (2017 Movie):
If it weren’t a real incident series of scenes, I would think that it was a brutally weird series of a sick mind. On the other hand, beyond the brutal scenes which come with the real incidents, it is a well-made film, with good casting, humour and something you don’t meet in the western films, no shooting! The enforcement of the law comes with no shooting and something that I still find difficult to believe by arresting all the criminals alive as a primal target for the leading actor. Either life gives us lessons or this is the director’s potential value for his audience. It is also quite enjoyable and keeps your interest in watching it at a high level.
I usually don’t like crime-action movies, especially those related to gangs or police coz normally it’s quite a cliche and predictable. BUT OMG this movie is so well-plotted, bloody intense and caught my attention every second from the beginning to the end (I am an A.D.D person who usually pauses the movie at least 5 times during play). The main character is so good at playing this role! This is one of the best films I watched in 2018! If you want something intense, drama (GOOD DRAMA) with hilarious humour, THIS IS IT!
